The pain of arthritis can be debilitating, but there are steps you can take to make this painful condition a little easier to manage.

Get outside – Exposure to sunlight may lower the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis among women

Socialize – Lonely people produce more inflammation-related proteins in response to acute stress, potentially contributing to arthritis.

Meditate – Mindfulness-based stress reduction helps to relieve the inflammation response seen in arthritis.

Chow down on Grapes– Compounds that are rich in anti-inflammatory polyphenols, such as grapes  have been shown to reduce inflammation, grapes may confer benefits for knee osteoarthritis.

Eat your greens – Broccoli, sprouts and cabbage are rich in Sulforaphane, a compound that may help to prevent or slow cartilage destruction.

Pomegranate power – Punicalagins, a phytochemical found in the pomegranate fruit, inhibit collagen-degrading enzymes.

Be Eco-friendly – Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs) are used  in more than 200 industrial processes and present in consumer products including: stain, and water-resistant fabrics, grease-proof paper and food containers
