Optimize Diet

 Drink 8-12 glasses of water daily

  • Phase out all sodas (even diet, zero cal, caffeine free)
  • Rarely drink bottled beverages/fountain drinks unless it is water
  • Consider Meat Substitutes (Morningstar, Quorn, Boca etc.)
  • If eating meat (then lean chicken or fish)
  • Avoid Red Meats (If you must then 1-2 x a month only)
  • Eat 5-6 small meals a day (eating approx every 2-3 hours)
  • Go to bed and wake up same time each day (sleep hygiene – get 6-7 hrs at least)
  • Green Smoothies and Juices are important (either in juicer or blender – put spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, carrots, ginger à great taste, awesome energy)
  • CALM YOUR MIND: Quiet Reflection time 5-10 minutes daily (meditate, pray, be in nature, quiet walk)
  • Eat less processed foods
  • Never skip breakfast – this is what gets your metabolism started. Also have breakfast if possible within 1 hour of awakening
  • Buy smaller plates, keep your portion size in check
  • Dinner should be equal to or smaller than lunch
  • Must move your body (take the stairs, park farther away, go mall walking, do 3 principles of core fitness [flexibility, strength, cardio]
